The Five Stages of Grief/ How do we Counter Grief

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross was the psychologist who first presented this model of grief in 1969. Later although this model was rejected due to inefficient proofs, but still it holds a significant importance while discussing about stages of grief. According to this model a person goes through these stages after some major (sometimes Shocking) happening of their life. Let's explore how many stages are there and what they represent.  1. Denial: The first stage of the grief is denial. In this stage, individuals believe that the incident hasn’t occurred and they are somehow mistaken. Basically, they cling to a false aspect of reality. They believed that "the happening is not possible". In this phase, individuals reject the reality and attach themselves with a false perception of that reality.  2.
