Me Before You by Jojo Moyes/ A Reading Experience

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes is such a novel that kept my crying for days. Many of you may have seen this in the form of movie. But for me, novels are more inspiring than movies because it leads your imagination to wander in various directions. In movies, our imagination is confined to what’s happening on the big screen, and that’s it. However, I am not here to talk about the differences between movies and novels. So,  as for as this novel is concerned, it kept in on the edge of my seat because I was anticipating something new all the time. The element of mystery was profoundly present about whether the “Will” will commit suicide or not. He is a quadriplegic, he got in an accident and he met the heroine who was hired for taking care of him.

Louisa Clark, twenty-six years old, an ordinary girl, the change in her after meeting “Will” was immense.  First, their relationship started with a few fights (as usual), but then everything settled between them. She started enjoying life and the beautiful colors of life after living with him and started to view the world in a whole new light (so far,so good). But “Will” decided to commit suicide, and for this purpose, he had an affidavit with his parents that after six months, they will support him in his decision for suicide (😠just great). Well, Louisa tries to raise his interest in life, and she is partly successful because he enjoys the trip very much. Despite that, Louisa fell in love with him and offered him to spend her life with him leaving his seven years old relationship with Patrick. But after all this, he still commits suicide. At this part of the novel, I just quitted this novel because WTH. I felt pity for Louisa and anger for Will because he also agrees that six months with her were the best months of his life. Then what’s the problem dude😠, maybe his manliness had triggered him that “That’s my ninja way😉.” After completing this novel, I was again like WTH but, this time also with tears in my eyes😭. That’s all from my part, what was your reaction when you read that novel or watched that movie?
