There are fourteen principles in this book that help in becoming rich.

1. 1.     Thoughts are Things:

The writer here focuses upon the importance of thoughts. it’s the first stage while doing anything you have to have thought to do. So, to become rich one must understand that thoughts are things. Although we consider them as “Abstract”, but we cannot deny the fact that everything starts from the thoughts first. What we do is to materialize those thoughts in the real world. Thinking is a lot more valuable to success, than we think.

2.     Desire:

 

You want to be rich? Then you have to have desire because desire is the thing that would propel you to achieve your goal. Have you ever asked this question that, how bad do you want it? The desire is the only thing that can push you towards the boundaries of success. Have desire, even how much superfluous it may seem because the invention of Aero planes and many other things were considered as farce when the idea was first presented.

3.     Faith:

Desire leads us to the faith that I can do this. In this phase one convinces himself that whatever is my desire, it is achievable because nothing is impossible in this world. Suggest yourself with each and every kind of opportunities and if your suggestion is good enough, you can become rich in lesser time and by more adequate or smart ways.

5.     Specialized Knowledge:

 

Hill asserts that there are two types of knowledge: General Knowledge and Specialized Knowledge. He says that the idea that “Knowledge is Power” is not true because professors have a lot of knowledge, but they are not really rich. Instead you must have specialized knowledge about the services or goods that you sell, then there is probability that you might become successful.

6.     Imagination:

 Imagine beyond the world. Do not limit your imagination by saying that it’s not possible because if the imagination is limited to the given boundaries of the world, then there wouldn’t be this much inventions in this world.

7.     Decision:

Procrastination is the main hindrance in your way of success. Decide about almost anything that you want to do it and strive to do for it. Decision making is crucial to get almost anything in your life. If you cannot decide then the change in your life would never come. Hill says that making decision is equal to taking action, because if you can’t decide, you can’t do. 

8.     Persistence:

 

 This is also a great landmark where you strive to get your aim, whether everyone turns against you. Tenacity is something which is crucial because it is true that we all face criticism and disapproval for some of our decisions, but if you stop going towards your objective by fearing criticism, you cannot attain your goal. But if you ignore everything and work on your plans, it is more likely to become rich.

9.     Enthusiastic Support:

Now, if you have desire, Faith, specialized Knowledge, imagination, decision and persistence then, you must surround yourself with like-minded people. If there are people who have same objective as you, the spark and the support will push you ahead towards your goal.
